Film Blogs

I am film and television studies major so I chose to look at some of my favorite film blogs. Film blogs are pretty general and within the theme of film you have "sub-themes" such as reviews, animation, and award blogs. I decided to choose blogs on five different "sub-themes" of film. I am a huge fan of animation so for my first blog I chose Animation Blog. On Animation Blog you can look at animator's work decide whether you like it or not and follow that artist. It also gives brief descriptions of the artist and their animated stories. If you are looking for tips on film making or want to see what the life of a filmmaker is like then check out the second blog I chose to share, A Filmmaker's Life. This blog allows you access into the life of filmmaker Jacques Thelemaque where he shares stories, ideas, and tips. My third blog is acclaimed film critic Roger Ebert's Journal on the Chicago Sun-Times site. Here you can check out all of Ebert's reviews and other stuff he likes to share about recent movies. I am very fascinated in television also. Television plays a very important role in today's culture so my fourth blog is Blink. Basically Blink updates you on everything going on in the television world. From new television show premiers to big corporate deals Blink lets you know. One of my favorite channels to watch when I go to my parents house is IFC (Independent Film Channel). The Independent Eye is IFC's blog where you can find the latest news and stories on new independent movies and director's. I hope you all enjoy these blogs as much as I do and to find more great film blog action I recommend you check out 100 Best Blogs for film and Theater Students. That is where I found these great blogs and it was very difficult to narrow it down to five. (nfoltz).
